Remote virtual window is online! 175 public services in Jiading can be handled without meeting in person
Recently, the Jiading District Civil Affairs Bureau relied on the Party-Mass Service Center (Wojia Neighborhood Center) to extend its service points and launch remote virtual window services, allowing citizens to conduct business consultation and processing through "cloud meetings", covering a total of 175 public services. "Hello, I would like to change my medical record book." 66-year-old Aunt Sun came to the Taoyuan Community Party and Mass Service Center (Wojia Neighborhood Center) extended service point to handle business. She first took a number remotely through the "intelligent dual-screen all-in-one machine", and then staff from the Jiading Town Street Community Affairs Acceptance Service Center appeared on the screen to help her handle the business via remote video. Three minutes later, after printing, signing and other steps, Aunt Sun got the new medical record book. This way of handling business without leaving the community makes her feel more convenient: "It is inconvenient for us to run around because we are old, but now I can handle it without leaving the community, which is great." The reason why video communication and remote processing can be achieved is mainly through remote calling of peripheral interfaces such as high-speed cameras, ID card and social security card readers, QR code scanners, and touch screens on the "dual-screen all-in-one machine" to obtain the certificates, materials, and certification information of the workers. The processing process adopts the immersive service guidance of "ask and handle at the same time", achieving the same processing experience as that in the physical hall.
The Jiading Town Street Community Affairs Acceptance Service Center stated that the "cloud meeting" processing matters cover 175 public services from 11 departments including public security, social security, medical insurance, civil affairs, and the Disabled Persons' Federation, "especially for services with concentrated needs among the elderly, such as replacement of medical record books and elderly care cards. Applications, long-term care insurance applications, etc. can all be processed through remote virtual windows. "The Jiading District Civil Affairs Bureau introduced that the "dual-screen interaction, remote assisted service" format maximizes "more data and less errands for the masses", truly achieving "acceleration" of public services and "zero distance" of services. Currently, 16 remote virtual windows have been put into use in 12 streets and towns in Jiading. By the end of 2025, Jiading will achieve full coverage of 66 party and mass service centers (Wojia Neighborhood Centers) in the region, opening up the "last mile" of public services.
